Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This policy explains what information we collect when you use www.theskillvault.com, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it readable. If any part of it is unclear, ask us through our Contact Us page.

Who we are

TheSkillVault is owned and run by MomJunction Private Limited, a company registered in India under the Companies Act, 2013, with its office at G-3 (Ground Floor), Modern Profound Tech Park, Whitefields, Kondapur, Hyderabad 500084, Telangana. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean MomJunction Private Limited, and "the site" means www.theskillvault.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us

You can read everything on TheSkillVault without an account and without telling us who you are. We only get personal information from you if you choose to send it, for example when you email us, leave a comment or answer a survey. That's usually your name, your email address and whatever you write in your message.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers and the tools we use record some technical details when you visit, such as:

  • your IP address and approximate location (country or city, not your street address);
  • your browser, device type and operating system;
  • the pages you view, how long you stay, and the page or search that brought you here;
  • the date and time of your visit.

Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies, which are explained in our Cookie Policy.

How we use it

  • to run the site, keep it secure and fix problems;
  • to understand which guides people find useful and which need work;
  • to reply to your messages and deal with requests you send us;
  • to show ads, which keep the site free to read;
  • to meet our legal obligations.

We don't sell your personal information.

Advertising

We show ads from third-party networks, including Google. These networks may use cookies to choose ads based on the page you're reading, or on your visits to this and other websites. Google's advertising cookies, for example, let Google and its partners show you ads based on the sites you've visited.

You can turn off personalised Google ads in My Ad Center, and opt out of many other networks at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu. You'll still see ads, but they won't be based on your browsing.

Analytics

We use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to see how the site is used overall, for example which articles are read most and how readers find them. These tools use cookies and receive details such as your IP address and the pages you visit. If you'd rather not be included, Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers who help us run the site, such as hosting, email, analytics and security companies. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
  • Advertising partners, as described above.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it, or when we believe in good faith that it's needed to prevent fraud, protect someone's safety or defend our legal rights.
  • A new owner, if TheSkillVault or MomJunction Private Limited is sold or merged. This policy would continue to apply to your information.

Comments and anything you post publicly

If you post a comment on the site, your name and what you write can be seen by other readers. Please leave out personal details you wouldn't want made public. Our Community Guidelines explain what we allow.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the reasons above. Emails are kept while we deal with your request and for a reasonable time afterwards. Server logs and analytics data are kept for a limited period and then deleted or made anonymous. Some information may be kept longer if the law requires it.

Keeping it safe

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the site. No system is completely secure, though, so we can't guarantee it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • object to, or ask us to limit, how we use it;
  • withdraw consent you've given, for example to cookies.

To make a request, contact us through our Contact Us page. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on it, and in some cases the law allows or requires us to keep certain information. We'll respond within the time limits set by the law that applies to you.

Children

TheSkillVault is written for a general audience, and many of our readers are students. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information, let us know through our Contact Us page and we'll delete it.

Links to other websites

Our articles often link to other sites, such as universities, government pages and the sources we cite. We don't control those sites and this policy doesn't cover them, so it's worth reading their privacy policies as well.

Where your information is processed

We're based in India, and some of our service providers work from other countries. That means your information may be processed outside the country you live in. When it is, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and if a change is significant we'll make that clear on the site.

Questions or complaints

If you have a question about this policy or the way we handle your information, or you want to raise a concern, please reach us through our Contact Us page.
